Celebrating semi-spring in London Times

I didn’t take my coat when I went out for my lunch break today. For those of you enjoying the Midwest, that’s still kind of a big deal, as the snow just melted away. The transitional time between seasons– or in this case, the near-painfully late arrival of  one season even though the calendar said it started– is a personal favorite, as it means combining warm-weather colors and textures with cool-weather layers and accent shades.

Finally, it was the right weather for my new London Times dress; the brand generously gifted each STLFW blogger a frock (thank you!) and I’ve been waiting for the perfect temperature to wear mine. The hints of charcoal and black in the floral paired nicely with my winter details, like fleece-lined tights and suede boots.

Isn’t it dreamy? And did you see that peek-a-boo back? C’mon now…

For those ladies dying to place a London Times order, and you should be, note that the fabric is thick with only minor stretch; I bought a size-up because I like to be able to sit. Don’t misunderstand– this thickness isn’t a problem, as it keeps the cut-out in the back holding a proper shape and gives the skirt just enough body. Trust me, gals, and read the sizing chart, because you want these beauties to fit.

More STLFW details on the way! In the meantime, have you checked out London Times? Which dress are you swooning over?
