DIY Mixed Metal Hexagon and Chevron Bracelet

Hey DIY-ers! Pro tip: If you like to make jewelry, there is a crazy huge sale at  Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Store. I spent over an hour digging through bins of findings and beads, and I’m sure I could have spent an hour more. Thankfully for my wallet, I ran out of coffee and decided to come home.

Midst the mountains of options, I found a strand of gold chevron beads and silver hexagon rhinestones, both of which qualified for the 70% strung beads coupon currently available. That brought them down to $1.97 per strand. Hooray, discounts! So, while binge-watching Freaks and Geeks on Netflix I made a quick bracelet this evening using these beads and a few clear and gold seed beads.

Looking for beads like this? Check your Joann’s first for the best prices, or shop the hexagons here and chevron (in silver) here.

Sometimes I forget how simple DIY jewelry can be – I gravitate toward mixed media pieces, but strung bead jewelry can take way less time with a huge payoff. I’m loving this two-tone bracelet!
