The Start of STLFW | Fall Into Fashion at the Saint Louis Galleria

Saint Louis Fashion Week kicked off with a bang, as the first show hit the runway on Thursday. Everything in my closet now looks totally subpar. Isn’t it funny how that works?

Fall Into Fashion, the first fall 2013 Saint Louis Fashion Week show, was held at the Saint Louis Galleria and benefited area charity HavenHouse, raising nearly $2,000 for the cause. The show featured looks from Francesca’s, Bebe, True Religion, Anthropologie, Apricot Lane, Cache and Fossil. While I love any and all types of fashion shows, I can especially enjoy ones where I can immediately buy the item after it leaves the runway– or, y’know, one just like it in a size that would actually fit. Thank goodness for our totally boring budget, or else I’d already be waist deep in shopping bags.

I suppose I wasn’t surprised to discover that my favorite outfits came from Anthropologie. Like most twenty-something females, I find that store painfully addictive; I feel like they pump something into the air that drags you from the food court to their display of kitchen accessories, knobs and/or dresses with pockets. Saint Louis Fashion Week was nice enough to provide me with two VIP front row tickets, so I was able to get a great look at the garments. Anthro’s looks were playful and cheeky, per the norm, without trying too hard. Can I get a collective le sigh?
