From Weekend to Workout | Dimvaloo Active Living & My Jacket Obsession

Dressing for the part makes me hate exercise a little less, and I simply don’t care how stupid you think that sounds. If some high-functioning boob holsters and a cute pant make my Pilates time less painful, then give me the good stuff! In case you haven’t read this blog before, my favorite place to grab fashionable, quality exercise attire is Dimvaloo Active Living.

Dimvaloo is known around town as your go-to spot for Lorna Jane products. Additionally, the shop carries other lines like Zobha and hosts frequent exercise events, such as the weekly Wine Down Wednesday. And last time I was at the shop, Kate (the mad rad owner and all-around kick ass girl boss) introduced me to my new fall staple. Meet the Luxe Aviator Jacket, the piece made for exercise that looks great with everything.

This aviator jacket — featuring vegan leather accents, comfy neck coverage, and quilting — is stretchy like your favorite pullover, but fashion-forward like your best motorcycle jacket. And it is perfect.

Perks of wearing activewear as your regular jacket: First and foremost, it’s machine washable. You can’t have dry clean only workout attire, and I honestly don’t think anyone prefers having a dry clean only coat. Up next is the benefit of flexible attire. If It’s Always Sunny has taught us anything, it’s that restrictive clothing is a total buzzkill. Whether your arms are up to cross the monkey bars or to grab that hidden chocolate stash off the top shelf, the jacket moves with you. And like all budget-shoppers can guess, the best perk of a multi-functional item is it keeps you from buying duplicates. Who needs a workout jacket and a weekend jacket when you can have — drum roll please — one really good, multi-use jacket?

It’s common clothing sense.
