Seeing Stripes & Spots [+ the start of STLFW Spring ’14]

This embellished white shirt is my new favorite wardrobe addition, and I cannot stop wearing it. There’s something about a loose-fitting tee that screams ‘Tuck me in ever-so-slightly!’ And while I normally do just that with a pair of skinny jeans, this top is twice as nice when paired with a work-ready skirt. The end look is equal parts tousled and tailored.

Don’t you just love the way the fabric hangs?

Currently wearing… Tee, VS Pink [Can’t find one online; would be an easy DIY] | Skirt, Target [SIMILAR] | Tights, TJMaxx [SIMILAR] | Boots, c/o Luichiny [SIMILAR] | Bag, Coach [SIMILAR] | Belt, vintage | Studded bangle, vintage | Stripes bangle, Kate Spade [SIMILAR] | Watch, c/o May28th [HERE] | Necklace, vintage

Speaking of fabric… Fabric was the name of the game at the recent STLFW Spring ’14 kick-off party at the St. Louis Public Radio building. Complete with a textile display and fashion panel discussion, the educational evening was the perfect way to roll in event season.

As a Saint Louis Fashion Week blogger ambassador, you know I’ll be at all the shows. Grab your datebook and start planning, ladies and germs, because the schedule is out and the line-up is rad. On April 23, there’s the Spring Into Fashion show at the St. Louis Galleria. The next day, Rebecca Minkoff will be showing at Saks Fifth Avenue. The season will wrap up on April 25 with a designer showcase featuring Viktor Luna and more at Union Station. See the complete details at SaintLouisFashionWeek.com.
