St. Louis Date Night | Our Art-Focused Evening Off Grand

Looking for a fun date night in St. Louis? I have some ideas! Lance and I just tried out a plethora of new places near Grand Center with  The Kranzberg Arts during a sponsored blogger event.

St. Louis has so many fun date night options, and Lance and I (along with some other rad local bloggers) just checked out a few news ones! We were invited to a special evening of St. Louis dining and entertainment with The Kranzberg Arts Foundation. This community-driven organization is focused on providing resources and infrastructure to local and emerging artists and arts organizations. This includes free programs, the development of art venues, work spaces and more.

We started the evening at .ZACK to get a drink at Sophie’s Artist Lounge & Cocktail Club where I ordered the Hooker with a Heart of Gold cocktail – a mix of tequila, ginger liquor, and yellow chartreuse – solely because of the name, obviously. What makes this bar unique, besides the Instagram-ready decor, is where the money goes: it’s a nonprofit bar that supports The Kranzberg Arts Foundation’s mission. Once we finished our drinks, we took a tour of the gigantic building; if you’re local, you’ll recognize this space as the former home of Plush. Upstairs from Sophie’s we stopped by Music Record Shop, then back downstairs to tour the theater.

After seeing the main spaces of .ZACK, we headed down the block to the Kranberg Arts Center Gallery for dinner at The Dark Room, a restaurant with original artwork, live music, and an impressive menu. I ordered the Imogen Cunningham cocktail (its version of the Cosmopolitan) and sampled the Smoked Paprika Hummus and White Bean Hummus with the table. For dinner, I went with the Chimichurri Beef Bowl, and to be honest I have been craving it ever since.

To wrap up our evening, we headed to the Kranzberg Arts Center to check out the latest art exhibit and a play. Scroll down to peek inside out evening out!

Huge thanks to The Kranzberg Arts Foundation for the fantastic evening!

This post and our evening out were sponsored by The Kranzberg Arts. All opinions are my own, as always.
