Do you have plans this Thursday? No? Cool. ‘Cause now you do.

ALIVE Magazine is hosting the free Saint Louis Made: A Maker’s Pop-Up event at the Ely Walker Lofts in Downtown St. Louis on Thursday, March 12 from 5 to 9 p.m. It will be equal parts pro-locally made shopping experience/social cocktail-drinking night out. Let me put it in simpler terms. Shopping is fun, yeah? Like malls? Me, too. You know what you can’t do at malls? Walk around and drink vodka tonics while you shop. You know what you can do at #MakersPopUpSTL? I knooooow. It sounds awesome. [Plus, you’re supporting local artisans, but you already thought of that, I’m sure.]

More than two dozen makers will be at the event. Meet a few of my favorites.

THE RUGGED. Running across its homepage, the Lumberjack Leather Co. has the following lines: Hard working, like your bad-ass granddad; good looking, like that cheerleader from high school; damn impressive, like that one time when you did that thing. The products are sturdy and substantial. They sell a letterpress felt pennant that just says whiskey that I HAVE TO OWN. Need I say more?

THE ETHEREAL. We’ve talked about this next maker before: Grace Kubilius is a textile artisan, and her work is equal parts endearing and exploratory. You may remember her designs from the Saint Louis Fashion Blog Awards — and her necklaces from the outfit posts of fashion-forward St. Louis bloggers since. She’s having a well-deserved moment, and it’s awesome.

THE CHARMING. A Tiny Moth is your one-stop gift location. The shop stocks accessories, decor, jewelry, soaps, lotions, and vintage finds. Let’s talk for a minute about how adorable this bandit cowl with tassel is; I don’t crochet, but this seems like a great price for all the work put into it. Self-gift?

Other #MakersPopUpSTL perks: Awesome people. Free. Pappy’s Apple Wood Pulled Pork Sliders. Free. DJ Billy Brown. Free. Something worthwhile to do on a Thursday night when you’d otherwise binge-watch Netflix. It’s free. RSVP now.

Was this post sponsored? Yes, it was. Was it still 100% truthful? You know it!
