WHAT // Ruth’s Chris Clayton Patio Party

Get ready for a tongue twister… Remember when I told you about the Ruth’s Chris Clayton Patio Party? Beautiful part of town, great food, fun get-together… It lived up to the hype. Call me crazy—or stereotypical or obnoxious or whatever—but sipping cocktails and sitting on high-quality lounge furniture and eating miniature hamburgers are the way to spend time outdoors.

I love being invited to parties, but I double-love being invited to parties that serve food. Not ultra-light bites or things that are slightly too small for toothpicks. Gimme red meat and carbs and dear god, it’s chocolate

When you want food, go to a party at a place known for food. Kudos to Ruth’s Chris Clayton; you balanced cheeky (the happy hour menu is called Sizzle, Swizzle & Stir, which is adorable) and classy (hello, steak) oh so very well.

And the hair-do? I was pretty stoked about it. I got the idea from a tutorial I saw in Allure; it just wasn’t working right with my hair, so a few extra knots and twists and pins later, I had this half-bun/half-pony imperfect mess. Details on that coming soon.

So I started to reread the post while thinking of a way to wrap things up, and now I’m too hungry to write. So… Bye.

Thanks for sponsoring this post, Ruth’s Chris Clayton.
