Finn by Chase Launches in St. Louis with Free ‘Food with Finn’ Events

This post is brought to you in partnership with Chase. Thank you for supporting the brands that make Oh, Julia Ann possible!

St. Louis is home to plenty of “firsts.” From cultural mainstays like the Rockettes, which actually started as the Missouri Rockets, to fashion must-haves like dresses made in “juniors” sizes, the Gateway City has launched some pretty great things. The first nationally distributed beer came from St. Louis, and the St. Louis Cardinals were the first woman-owned MLB club. The first African American to medal in the Olympics, George Poage, did so at the 1904 games in St. Louis. Speaking of 1904, that year’s World’s Fair, held in St. Louis, debuted and popularized a plethora of fantastic foods including my favorite, peanut butter. I may be a transplant, but I love St. Louis—and if history shows us anything, it’s that St. Louis is a great place to introduce something new.

I have to assume that’s why Chase picked St. Louis as the city to launch its new brand, Finn by Chase.

Finn is a new mobile bank, launching exclusively in the Gateway City, designed for the modern citizen’s banking needs. From spending habit visualization featuring emojis to a friend-to-friend money transfer system, Finn is focused on delivering the full banking experience easily through your iPhone. (Long-time readers know I’m an Android gal, but never fear: an Android version of the app is in the works.)

To kick-off the launch of Finn, the brand is hosting a week of events in St. Louis. These pop-up events, titled Food with Finn, include free food from local food truck Slide Piece, GIF photo booths, and illustrated portraits from local artist John Hendrix. Quick question: Did everyone else know GIF photo booths were a thing? Because I didn’t, and I think I’m obsessed.

All those freebies aren’t the only event perk either. In addition to no monthly fees, everyone who signs up for Finn at one of the events will receive a $50 sign-up bonus. You can check out the upcoming events here…
