12 Tips for Finding the Best Deals at Tuesday Morning

This post in brought to you in partnership with Tuesday Morning.

Looking for a good deal? Me too  and the answer, my entire life, has been Tuesday Morning. The store has been part of my shopping routine longer than I can remember thanks to my grandmother. She started working at Tuesday Morning when the brand was fairly new and continued for some twenty years. Gifts from Grandma Phyllis were always spectacular because her budget went farther at Tuesday Morning.

That’s one of the reasons I was so beyond excited when the brand asked to work together a few years ago. (Longtime readers may remember my Tuesday Morning Friendsgiving party and the Superb Owl event.) The other? I never pass up a chance to find a great deal!

I get so many questions, especially on Instagram, about how I find such low prices on items while shopping. The team at Tuesday Morning sent over a dozen tips on how to best shop the store, and after my most recent shopping tips I can’t help but agree. Whether you’re a seasoned sale shopper or someone who feels they never find the best deal, these 12 tips are sure to stretch your dollar at any Tuesday Morning location. See what I bought and learn how to find your best deals below!

1. SHOP MULTIPLE STORES

My personal favorite tip: visit multiple Tuesday Morning locations! Since products vary by location, you might find your new favorite glasses at one location and the perfect pitcher at another. By checking out two stores, I was able to find missing supplies for my kitchen and craft projects plus a few extra items. How cute are these colorful reusable straws, or the retro popcorn banner?

2. BRING YOUR PET

You know how your pets never seem to love the toys you bring home? All North American Tuesday Morning locations are cat and dog friendly (so long as you keep them on a leash) so your four-legged friend can pick his or her own toy!

3. SIGN UP FOR PERKS

The Perks program, which you can sign up for online or in-store, will save you $10! Extra discounts will be emailed throughout the year, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $500 shopping spree.

4. START IN THE CLEARANCE AREA

If we’re friends on Instagram, you saw me talk about this tip already. The best way to shop at Tuesday Morning is to go to the back (clearance area) and work your way forward. It’s amazing how much you’ll find on sale! Look for the color coded stickers for an additional 20-60% off the already low prices.

5. TAKE YOUR TIME

Each shelf has so much on it, you need to give yourself ample time to shop. For example, when I posted a photo of the rad board game selection I actually spotted one I had missed in store for only $7.99… So I went back and bought it, along with a handful of other gifts!

6. SHOP EARLY…

Want to get a few Halloween items? Go now! Looking for Christmas? It will be there as early as September! Check out the best selection of seasonal items by shopping early…

7. …AND SHOP LATE

…but be certain to come back after the holiday or season for great clearance finds. Right now there’s plenty of spring and summer items on sale perfect for next season’s gardening. Stock up for the best prices!

8. GRAB A SNACK

The snack selection is fantastic at Tuesday Morning, especially for parties. Artisanal oils, seasonings, chocolates, cookies… The last time I went, I finished the whole bag of salted caramel chocolates before I even got home.

9. READ THE LABELS

You’ll be impressed by the quality of the products at Tuesday Morning. Check the labels to see for yourself! Name brand items, high-quality materials, and top ingredients can be found across the store. See these great bar additions I found? They’re by my favorite dinnerware brand, Fiesta! I love how they look above my Fiesta cabinet and was amazed to find such a pricey brand at such an affordable cost. Both were actually on clearance, which brought them down to $17.59 and $26.39, aka practically free in the world of expensive Fiesta. Ha!

10. KEEP THE RECEIPT

Love an item? Bring it home and see if you love it there too. With your receipt, you can get a full refund within 30 days. For example, I needed a way to store my tea so I can easily grab it from a high shelf without having to dig through tons of tiny boxes but I wasn’t sure if the container would fit in our slender cabinet that holds the coffee and tea. So I kept the receipt, brought it home to test it out, and decided to keep it! If (like me) you rarely remember to measure, this is a great feature for you.

11. SHOP WITH YOUR SENSES

Touch the sheets, smell the soaps, stand on the mats… I spend so much time in the candle aisle it’s mildly embarrassing.

12. STAY IN TOUCH
