We’ve been cleaning, organizing, and redecorating the house this month in preparation for all the out-of-town family who will see it during our wedding weekend. It’s equal parts finishing half-done areas, routine tidying, and my crazy brain always wanting to take on new projects.
One simple way we always keep our home ready for guests is by maintaining our well-decorated entryway. If we’re friends on Instagram, you’ve probably figured out this piece of found furniture is one of my favorites, and styling it for different holidays and seasons is tons of fun. I needed to refresh the area up to ring in spring, so I teamed up with bargain superstar Gordmans to try out some of its latest country chic home finds. (Plus a few pops of color to brighten it up for the season!)

These three charming birds bring in some much needed color and quirk. Aren’t their little legs perfect? To add a final splash of spring, I filled our mail bowl with silk flowers for a low centerpiece.
The lanterns are the real star of the show! These $20 lanterns are the perfect addition to our entryway. Don’t they look charming with electric candles inside? I love the reclaimed wood-look paired with the detailed metal; they’re fantastic standalone items that play well with what we already own. And the price cannot be beat! While I won’t name any names, I did a little online shopping and found a lantern nearly identical to the one on the right going for $50 at a popular home decor shop — and something like the taller one was $80! Let’s do the math: $40 for two or $130 for two? Way to win, Gordmans.
How are you getting ready for spring?
