It has been a weird few weeks.
From starting the year by picking up a 450-degree curling iron to spending much of January in the hospital or recovery, things have been a little off schedule. Ya know what else is off schedule? The weather — it was pretty much shorts season this weekend. In February. What the hell.
So what does one do after a month of pajamas when it suddenly switches from snow to sun? Cozy layers + cut-offs, of course.

I grabbed this statement necklace from Victoria Emerson to add a little springtime brightness to this Peter Nygard cape from Dillards. It might not be the kind of cape that gives you super powers, but the combo of its cozy knit and the necklace’s sparkle did convince me to leave the house on a Sunday to go out for tacos, so we’ll call it magical never the less.
