Right before my husband and I caught our terrible Christmas colds (I’m playing this down—he had pneumonia, and I was… a giant baby with my virus… ha!) I bought a bottle of RumChata for a holiday brunch. I had a bunch leftover and was really excited to play around with recipes. And then I got sick.
After dreaming about this drink for my ten days on not-alcohol-friendly cold medicine, this is the cocktail I came up with. It barely counts as a cocktail recipe because it was using things I already had in my kitchen, but whatever. Having a drink > going to the grocery store.
For the RumChata Iced Mocha Cocktail, you’ll need…

- Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino
- Chocolate syrup
- Coffee ice cubes
- Mini candies, to garnish
Squirt chocolate syrup around the inside of a glass and add your desired amount of RumChata. Top with coffee ice cubes, Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino, and mini chocolate candies. So easy, you can do it after your brain has turned to mush from sitting on a couch and watching superhero movies with your sicker-than-you-so-he-gets-to-pick-the-movie husband.
