Long time no blog! I have swapped today’s previously scheduled blog post for this very special giveaway because I am feeling particularly not glamorous—but I was the day we shot these photos! I deeply underestimated how sore, swollen, and sleepy I would be after my recent IVF egg retrieval (more on that soon) and I am barely in the mood for leggings, let alone actual clothes. However, when you’re puffy and in pain it is nice to see a few photos of yourself looking more… put together. Lucky for you that means moving up a giveaway! Back to our regular programming soon, loves.
It is sandal season! While I may be more of a boot gal, there are some sandals so rad they can swap my winter-loving opinion. In January I worked with LifeStride on a very fun (and very cold) photoshoot showcasing some of my favorite styles, but it looked so cold outside we couldn’t photograph anything open toed. As a thank-you, the team offered to send over a few pairs for me to style at home and these two summer-ready staples really sparked my interest—and even better yet, LifeStride decided to send free pair codes to THREE lucky readers who want their own perfect pair from LifeStride.
The first pair I spotted on the site from the summer collection was the Rosetta Block Heel Sandal. I like walking in heels, but almost exclusively thick ones. (What can I say? I’m clumsy.) With the faux wood heel and the black straps these sandals work well with every shade of neutral and are already a staple of my summer wardrobe—or were before surgery but will be again soon!

For all the reasons I loved the Rosetta sandals I loved the Remix mules. Why? Because… they are practically the same. Ha! It’s the first pair of mules I’ve ever felt comfortable walking in and I love how they look with jeans. I was already on my IVF meds when we shot this look so my skinny jeans weren’t fitting, but these boyfriend jeans were a great substitute. As soon as this belly swelling goes down I’ll pair these bad boys with some cuffed, distressed skinny jeans for an edgy-casual vibe with a focus on comfort.
