Continuing my crazed graduation dress search

I spent six or so hours looking at job listings last night. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not whining about that– I assume it will take hours upon days upon weeks to find a job, and sending in all those cover letters and resumes will take time. What I wasn’t prepared for was that I wouldn’t see any journalism gigs during my search. It’s not like I wasn’t qualified for them, they just weren’t there.

By 1 a.m. I had put together a petite list of ones I could maybe-sorta swing, most in places I’ve never heard of. At least we are up for an adventure, I guess.

This morning was spent lounging in bed, trying to feel better– I woke up a smidge under-the-weather (which, I realize now, could easily have been stress/panic sick, blah) and am just not starting to feel decent.

Stress? Panic? Free time? Sounds like a perfect combination to gawk at more graduation dresses. I think these three ones might be my favorite.

I honestly can’t tell which is my favorite. All three are appropriate, adorable and blue (the university’s color).

The Jessica Simpson dress (middle) might be the winner for me, as it is affordable and interesting. I could see it looking great under a cap and gown or with leggings and boots.

But maybe it is too normal, too everyday. The Donna Morgan number (right) is delicate and upscale and ladylike– defiantly something to celebrate in. My only fear? I’m not always delicate and upscale and ladylike, and this looks so fragile I worry I’d catch the lace on, well, anything and tear the whole thing. Maybe a dress like this would force me to be more delicate. Maybe in delicate lace I would be the epitome of feminine and graceful.

Doubtful. Besides,  Adrianna Papell (left) pairs a bold color with a classic lace sheath, which is beyond cool. I have a feeling my red hair would pop against the “Prussian Blue”. Did I mention there is a thick gold zipper running hem-to-hem up the back? Le sigh.

Off to work. Ta-ta, dresses. I’ll be thinking of you.

My personal preference is the middle one, but that’s more my shape 🙂 I think you should get the blue one – it looks sophisticated, and the colour would look great on you 😀
