Fashion fact: November 1st through January 1st is party dress season. From Friendsgiving celebrations to holiday shopping parties, our normally laid-back schedule goes nuts this time of year. At least these late-fall and winter occasions pair perfectly with festive frocks!
I found this Free People party dress on sale at Macy’s and I fell in love with the statement sleeves. With peek-a-boo shoulders and Pollyanna-style wrist buttons, I knew I had to have this dress—and that it would be perfect this time of year.

I have a hard time styling dresses with thigh-high boots, but I think the black dress / black tights / black boots combo works well here. Besides, the extra height just means extra warmth, which we all know is the only missing feature of holiday dresses. It’s a seasonal success!
Stay tuned for more holiday dresses over the next few weeks…!
You look really stunning in this dress and these thigh-high boots!
