Missouri (finally) gets a West Elm, and it’s at the Saint Louis Galleria

West Elm recently invited me to preview their new Missouri store.

That’s right, Midwesterners– interior design powerhouse West Elm has opened its first Missouri store at the Saint Louis Galleria, a.k.a. the most conveniently located mall in the city, a.k.a. the only one I don’t find daunting to visit.

And guess what? It was a loft-living, mid-century-modern-loving, interior-design-junkie’s dream. Check out a few of my favorite West Elm moments from their 8,000+ sq. ft. store below. And yes, those are metal bendy straws. I KNOW.

I love looking at furniture, but I sort of need to stop bringing it home– at least until we move somewhere bigger or get rid of a few pieces. Little things are still fair game. Dishes are sold individually in West Elm stores, meaning I could add a few colorful, patterned pieces to my collection of Fiestaware to brighten up the tablescape. Wouldn’t this (or this or this) pattern look too cute layered into my multicolored set?

West Elm carries amazing stuff– and while it’s a little pricey for me right now, it isn’t so far out of my budget that I leave feeling insulted. None of this is news, really, it’s more just me reiterating design truths. The big surprise is that West Elm has a really good blog: think Apartment Therapy, but you know where most of the furniture came from. West Elm’s blog, Front & Main, features amazing rooms, recipes, printables and the like. Who knew corporate blogs could work so well?

Remember, like any good grand opening, there are sales galore at the new St. Louis West Elm. The mall is open for another 90 minutes… If you hop in the car now…

*I was invited by West Elm along with other are bloggers and media members to preview the new St. Louis West Elm store.

    Hi!
Do you recall the name of that wood coffee table that you posted above?
