Holiday Giveaway Week continues! Macy’s has been linked to the holidays for my entire life—and likely yours, too. My Christmas season kicks off with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and I always end up at the department store to finish my holiday shopping. I’ve had a blast teaming up with Macy’s South County this year to showcase the addition of Macy’s Backstage and its newly expanded activewear departments, so I was thrilled to find out the store wanted to partner this season for a special holiday gift guide and, you guessed it, giveaway.
Need to check a few items off your list? Today and tomorrow (Dec. 12-13) are the One Day Sale at Macy’s! And because the holiday season needs the best deals possible, it’s Macy’s Money time. Earn $10 in Macy’s Money for every $50 you spend, now through Dec. 17 online and Dec. 18 in stores. (Get details on that here.)
Macy’s South County gave me a $200 gift card to find my favorite gift-ready items from the store. Scroll down to shop my favorites and to enter to win your own gift card!
Festive salad or dessert plates make a fantastic hostess gift, and the low price on this Merry & Bright set is unbeatable. Shopping for yourself? If you’re like me, the idea of a full set of Christmas dishes sounds like a dinner party dream, but the investment (and storage requirement) is daunting. Try adding themed salad plates to your existing set instead! I paired these with red and green pieces from our Fiesta collection—as well as my DIY Christmas place card holders and last year’s designer-dupe silverware stockings—and love how it turned out.
CHRISTMAS CHEER (IN GIFT FORM)
Give the gift of Christmas decorations with a fun nutcracker or themed ornament. I like to add mine, like these ugly sweater ones, to the top of wrapped presents. Recipients who show their holiday spirit on their sleeve may also love items from the Charter Club holiday accessories collection, which is currently on sale. Aren’t those bow earrings fun?
Pardon my caps, but DID YOU KNOW THEY SOLD HARRY & DAVID PRODUCTS AT MACY’S?! Because I did not, and I actually squealed out loud. Tasty treats are the perfect gift for coworkers, assuming you can bring something this delicious home and not eat it. (I totally haven’t eaten anyone’s present before… never…)
It gets dark at 4 p.m., which means this is the most important time of the year for coffee. Give the caffeine addict in your life a set of mugs, like these Lenox Naughty and Nice mugs. You can even go bigger and upgrade their coffee corner with a stainless percolator. I found this one from Bella even cheaper in store!
IT’S THE MOST COMFORTABLE TIME OF THE YEAR
The sweater of the season is the cozy chenille pullover, and thanks to its thick fabric and loose shape it is easy to gift. All hail the ever-flattering relaxed fit! I have been dying to find one, and the seam down the front secured this Style & Co. mustard option as my must have. It makes a great gift for the same reasons I love it, and can be easily paired with some comfy socks for a toasty way to stay on trend.
TIS THE SEASON FOR TECH
It’s the perfect gift for your favorite techie that requires no technical knowledge! Why try to remember if they use Android or iPhone when you can grab a present that works regardless of brand AND requires no cords? The hipster of speakers, this phone amplifier acts like a speaker for your phone without any power.
