Something about warm weather makes me want to mix patterns. This isn’t a vibe I get, but a truth I can see by looking back on years upon years worth of outfits I have documented on the internet. From one of my earliest posts to when we bought the house, a quick search of summers past show a lot of print mixing on Oh, Julia Ann.
I am a woman of routine, apparently.
My current favorite includes this new Soft Surroundings denim-like tunic with three major patterns: stripes, floral, and leopard, all in the small to medium weight with black features or accents. To visually connect the plain tunic with the colorful prints, I added some pops of extra color with blue Kendra Scott accessories and a bold pink Coach bag.

This outfit is so amazingly comfortable, and makes me look summer ready without the general “ew” feeling I get with most seasonal brights. Maybe this will be one of the looks I pack for my upcoming trip to BlogHer17 in Florida! Expect a crazy amount of warm-weather content leading to and during that trip. Oh, and more likely than not at least one Instagram story where I chase around one of those little lizards. This summer is going to be great.
