Natural stone may have had its moment in the (fashionable) sun, but it isn’t on its way back into the darkness. Whether you’re perusing the fine jewelry department or scrolling through JewelMint, geode and faux-geode pieces are still gracing the shelves. Unfortunately, like so many other pretty things, they can be… pricey.
Of the natural pieces, I prefer druzy. Lucky for my, faux druzy is inexpensive and available at major craft stores. For about $5 and 15 minutes, I made my own chunky bracelet– and I’m kind of loving it.

- 6 Faux Druzy Stones
- Small Glass Beads
- Jewelry Elastic
I paid…
- 2 strands faux druzy, $1.99 each after 30% off sale
- Elastic, $1.49 after 40% off coupon
- Glass Beads, normally 99 cents, leftover from older project
Directions…
- Measure your wrist to determine how many small beads need to go between the large beads
- String the beads
- Tie the knots
- Enjoy
Yogurt disapproves of druzy. And jewelry making as a whole.
Ta-da! Within a few minutes you have a great new arm party staple.
Even Yogurt came around to the idea… and then proceeded to sit on his new favorite bracelet.

HA! I know. This is actually a post-haircut Yogurt. Pre-haircut, his fur is something like 4″ on each side. It is… craziness.
That is really creative and cute! Even when there is tons of empty space elsewhere, my cat seems to love curling up on my favorite outfits and jewelry too. 🙂
