I bought this dress almost a year ago for a pretty practical reason: it was heavily discounted and reminded me of Pollyanna. Upon bringing it home, I realized it was pretty much a mistake. Sure, I was in love with the unusual neckline, but it had long, billowy sleeves that overwhelmed the whole look. As a solution, I added a denim shirt – but then that covered up my favorite part.
Needless to say, I never wore it again.
I spotted the dress again this morning and decided I either had to find a way to wear it or put it in the garage sale box. The neckline was too flattering to pass up, and I remembered it cost only $12, so I decided to try one last thing: I ripped the seams out of the sleeves and threw them away.

IT DIDN’T EVEN REQUIRE SEWING. SCORE.
Also, now instead of Pollyanna I feel like Wendy Darling. Right? Anyone else seeing it? Clearly there’s a Disney vibe here and I just need to pinpoint it.
