The Triumphant Return of the Bolo Tie

Hold it! Stop yourself before your mind fills with images of shirts tucked in Levis beneath umbrella-sized cowboy hats. Bolo ties are back. Take a sec and deal with it. Now continue on to the next paragraph.

I’ve written about the bolo tie before. And while I’m still swooning for that leather option, this H&M cutie adds a bit of sparkle for a mere $7.95.

You have two options when rocking a bolo: tight at the neck or loose and casual. By simply unbuttoning a blouse and loosening your bolo, the entire look is changed; a more casual hair-do and bag help the transition, as well. Since my bolo is bedazzled– a sentence I never thought I’d type, but fully enjoyed doing so– I kept the rest of the look simple. Plain colors and embossed leather send the eye right where I want it.

Is she wearing a… bolo tie? Absofuckinglutely.
