I’m from a garage sale family. What does that mean, exactly? I’m currently sitting in a room with eight major pieces of furniture; four of them came from garage sales, one came from a dumpster, one was found through Freecycle, and two were bought new and deeply discounted. We’re big fans of all things sale, second-hand, or otherwise thrifted. The concept of full price makes my head hurt.
However, I haven’t been a great garage sale aficionado as an adult because I like to sleep in. Garage sales start and end early. If only there was a way to go to garage sales online… at home… whenever you want…
Can you guess where I’m going, or was I not obvious enough?
This Trina Turk top was originally $200, but I found it listed at online second-hand store thredUP new with tags for less than $50. Using thredUP was easy: You can search by size, type, condition, price, or designer to find deeply-discounted items at any price point. It’s all the glory of garage sales without having to put on a bra and leave the house. Score.
