If Lance and I weren’t home sick, here’s what I would have worn to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Posting it as an outfit feature sort of counts, right? Sure. Something like that.
Currently wearing… Free People tunic c/o Gordmans | Suede booties c/o Gordmans | Jeans, AE | Jewelry, Kendra Scott
I wasn’t sure I’d like the combination of velvet and suede, because rustic and glam seem… ya know… weird together. But something about the multifaceted hue of velvet with the multifaceted hue of suede seemed to match, and then the two-tone jewelry I added on top somehow tied it all together… I don’t know, I’m grasping at straws to explain why I like this but I do and that’s what matters. I can’t always think of the right words, okay? What am I, a professional writer or something? (Har har.)
Gordmans sent me a gift card to check out some of the end-of-year savings in store (but all of these opinions are still my own, babes!) and I I found a ton of stuff on sale while there. This includes these suede boots for just over $10 and a bag full of Express blouses for less than $2 each. I even found this velvet Free People tunic—a brand I didn’t know they ever carried—for about $30 marked down from more than twice as much. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised about these prices, though; Gordmans is an off-priced retailer, which means they buy excess inventory from my favorite stores and mark the prices down. Yay. And I just found out Gordmans does a “Lowest Price Guarantee,” which means if you find a better price they’ll not only match it but give you a $5 Gordmans gift card.
I think I’ll need a fun reason to celebrate in January since I didn’t get to wear this look out for NYE. A brunch? Maybe a party? Just some random Thursday with Champagne? Rad.
