WHAT // Saint Louis Fashion Week Designer Showcase at Union Station
Oh, what a night! The evening started with a cocktail hour and fashion presentation from Devil City, Michael Drummond, Dipped & Dyed, and Blue Bird Apparel. Funny enough, Blue Bird maintained an animal theme, as the models posed in cat-masks and pretended to scratch the attendees from afar. Before the main show began, Rachael and I lounged around the new Union Station, which is truly a magnificent, lofty venue—at which, all small details, from decor to clearing service, were impeccable. I sampled some Skinnygirl wines, then snagged a Pinnacle vodka tonic with lime, a.k.a. my go-to drink.
The spectacular runway show consisted of presentations from Novis, Harbison, Skif International, and Viktor Luna. The show began with one of my all-time favorite songs, Iggy Pop’s The Passenger, as Skif International models smiled and danced down the runway. Novis’ pattern play was out of this world, and the Harbison collection was nothing short of the new power dressing. And then there’s Viktor Luna, who I mentioned earlier; Viktor Luna’s models were highly-styled Lost Boys from Neverland, and I am madly, deeply in fashion-love.
