Floral is great in the spring. Winter white is always a staple. Gem hues resurface in the fall. Americana is summer-ready.
While I refuse to fully abide by those rules– uhm, gem colors are always my favorites, especially when in a floral– they’re some of the the tried-and-true trends. Another popular option? Safari-themed attire when the temperatures skyrocket, year after year. And while it may not be summer yet, it is in the 90s in St. Louis and we’re melting. Now’s as good a time as any to dress like its August.
Despite loving shades of deep khaki and olive, I’ve never been a huge fan of the overdone urban jungle concept. But, alas, I’m trying new things, fashionably speaking. Or so I keep saying. Sort of. Kind of. I’m attempting to maybe think about trying new things. Good enough, yeah?
With its coloring and large pockets, this T.J. Maxx blouse always reminded me a bit of a safari-themed item. Paired with some leopard and raffia wedges, I believe I tip-toed into the realm of summer safari style. It might be as close as I get. For now, anyway.

Maybe it’s the heat, or the sincere lack of legitimate air conditioning at my place of work, but I’ve been feeling ultra tired and overwhelmed.
