I broke down and bought a puffy coat because I am weak.
Sure, compared to other parts of the country, St. Louis isn’t too cold with its 20-something days and minor snowfall… But damn it, I’m cold. I’m constantly cold. When the girl who sat next to me changed jobs I inherited her space heater and, while it is awesome, it still isn’t enough to keep me warm.
But now at least I have my puffy coat.

I wasn’t even looking for a coat while I was shopping at Gordmans, but I passed this Jessica Simpson beauty on the way to the fitting rooms and had to grab it. The coat selection there was huge, and — as often happens when I shop there — on sale. It’s puffy, but slim(ish), and the color ups the style. Plus, this coat’s fleece-lined pockets, fuzzy hood, and high collar mean I could likely survive even a much colder winter season. I won’t risk it, though.
