Early Fall Fashion | Leopard Coat

At the risk of sounding like every other blogger, I have to tell you something. I am screaming about these photos. SCREAMING.

I recently met up with the team behind Ben Romang Photography to shoot two looks, and the results have me—as the youths would say—shook. These traveling photographers are based in my hometown of Springfield, Illinois, but came to shoot in St. Louis’ Central West End for a dreamy early fall collaboration. Looking at their other (amazing) work, I don’t know why I am surprised by the phenomenal results. Maybe because I am 100% not a model and this makes me look pretty… uh… legit? Cue Feeling Myself on repeat.

Despite these amazing photos, you don’t come here to read me gab about the image quality. Let’s talk clothes.

I’m a huge fan of camis with shelf bras, and this extra-thick option from Express is my personal favorite; when worn with a normal bra, you get extra lift and mild stomach smoothing from the stretchy fabric. Who doesn’t love that combo? When wearing a statement coat, it’s my favorite top to wear, and pairing it with simple jeans is the easiest combination. (I wear this same outfit with my bomber jacket from my time on the Karlie Kloss x Express runway quite often.)

Once the temperature gets a little lower, I’ll have to try pairing additional layers—and ya know, maybe another pattern—with this funky dress coat. Until then, I’ll keep swooning over these photos.

Thank you for taking these amazing photos, Ben Romang Photography! Show them some love on social media and check out more of their work. Photos from our second look will be up soon.
