Is anything more exciting than a snow day? Despite the calendar saying it’s November, St. Louis already had its first big snow and we had a blast trekking through the fresh powder. Sure, I’m my own boss as a freelancer and I set me hours—and Lance, who is a fireman, wasn’t working that day—but we both felt like kids when school is called off. Off camera, there were literally dozens of people of all ages around us building snowmen and having snowball fights. (I might have thrown a few too…) I absolutely love this time of year!
Since this day felt particularly festive, I broke out this plaid J. Crew dress I found at Nordstrom Rack for about $12. With a black leather moto jacket and booties, this preppy print takes an edgy turn—and pairs perfectly with my newly colored, and seriously shortened, hairdo. Add a pair of nude nylons and this look it totally warm enough… For now, at least. I’m sure it’ll be colder next time we get so much snow. Ha!
