There’s a little part of me that thinks I should stop talking about Target… And then that little part gets smothered by whatever highly affordable piece of clothing I find there, bring home and love.
This week? I am obsessed with this striped Mossimo peplum dress. I love a column dress as much as the next gal, but isn’t it nice to flatter your silhouette while staying work appropriate? The bit of stretch and comfortable weight keeps it comfortable behind the desk, running around the office and even outside in the million-percent humidity/mid-90s midwestern hell… I mean, err, weather.

May I take a moment to discuss that beautiful bag? Eight years after the start of my more-than-crush on Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags, my mother gave me this as the most fabulous Christmas present of all time. There are three lessons to learn from this: Moms are the bee’s knees; if you still love it after eight years, you’ll love, love, love it on your arm; and grand opening sales at discount stores are arguably the best time to find the deal of the decade. Don’t worry– there will be so much more about my Marc. Le sigh.
Back to the affordable, delightful, totally practical dress. Did I mention it’s $25? Like any good Target item, this peplum dress is vanishing at rapid speed from stores near me. If you like it, it’s time to snag it.
