Springtime Layers | Dear, Sweet Knit Moto Jacket

There are two types of weekend attire: the over-the-top and the overly-comfortable. It’s the ongoing battle between glitter and terrycloth, arm parties and lotion gloves, sequins and sweatpants… Okay, okay, ‘battle’ may have been too strong of a word, but you get the idea. While I often pick chunky stacked heels over my beloved slipper-socks, I always want the comfortable options; and that, dear fashion addicts,  is how my new favorite afternoon outfit was born.

Let’s break it down simply: Take a few versatile pieces, like this thick necklace and knit moto jacket, then layer them with comfortable items in coordinating colors and varying shapes. The edgy lines of the jacket mixed with the draping shawl-collar cardigan create some geometric contrast; the bold necklace and pops of color keep things at a Saturday level of fun. Initially created for shopping and lunching, I ended up wearing this out to a beach-themed bar bash and was equally content. Is it weird to be addicted to an outfit?
