This weekend was so fantastic, I can’t even be (all that) mad it is coming to a close. After work on Friday, we headed to the Central West End so I could try eyelash extensions with Glow Studio St. Louis—full review soon!— and grab dinner someplace new. Saturday was spent in University City for secondhand shopping on the Loop. And today was all about Heavy Metal Brunch in Maplewood, the twice-a-week offering from The Crow’s Nest and the tastiest chicken and waffles in the greater STL area. Pretty perfect, don’t ya think?
My standard Sunday outfits have only a few rules. I don’t want to feel like I have to suck in my stomach. I don’t want to deal with matching many items. I don’t want to wash my hair. And if I don’t absolutely have to, I really don’t want to wear real pants. Today’s brunch ensemble certainly fit the bill.

A few things to note: Braided buns might be my new favorite way to avoid washing my hair. Oh, and Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo; I just bought a can last week and I am in love. Pairing brown and black in a neutral-focused look is as fall-like as I can get in this heat, but at least it feels a tidbit autumn appropriate. And this Jeffree Star lipstick is worth every cent, sold-out moment, and shining review. I’ll take all the colors, please.
Enjoy the last bit of your weekends, babes!
